The Moroccan national football team is expected to rise two places in the upcoming FIFA monthly ranking, which will be released in April.
According to the specialized website Football Ranking, the Atlas Lions will move up from 14th to 12th place globally with 1,690.95 points, surpassing prestigious teams like Colombia, Uruguay, and Denmark.
This rise is largely due to Morocco’s 2-1 victory over Niger in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which earned them an additional 2.77 points. On the African continent, Morocco remains the top-ranked nation.
The Atlas Lions will continue their World Cup qualifying campaign on Tuesday, March 25, against Tanzania, remaining unbeaten and asserting their strength as one of the most solid teams in Africa.
